a) Battles are very repetitive and tedious to update. Combining the area idea of one-type trainers and choosing attacks instead of RNG could help?
b) Buying packs seems to ruin the fun of trying to build an amazing team. Some sort of catching system?
c) It's literally request after request after request. One battle per person per day?
d) It is too easy to beat trainers. Choose attacks rather than RNG?
e) People seem to somehow get an amazing Pokemon at the beginning (Aerodactyl, my Cranidos) through these easy battles. Put my foot down and stop being so generous about packs and edit the leveling system?
f) There doesn't seem to be much to do other than battle. Areas and side-quests?
g) The level system doesn't work. Instead of going off base stats, Pokemon could be given low stats based on their base stats and you could build them up through levels?
h) Lack of depth. Side-quests?

Other ideas:

Areas? For example you could go to Viridian Forest and catch bug types and battle bug type trainers. You could unlock different areas at different points.

Side-Quests? Like in Gold/Silver/Crystal you had to get the antidote for Jasmine, you could do quests for points and other rewards.

Items? Change the TM Shop into a Poke Mart, with better items as time goes by.

Regions? Possibility. I don't see how it would help the game but the idea is you encounter mainly Pokemon from the region you are in.

Sweet, I don't want to complicate the battle system, and that isn't really that useful.

You said you wanted depth. You can't have depth and keep things simple at the same time.

By depth I meant more like more things to do in the game, to distract people from begging for battles, not adding pointless things into the battle formula.

i think there should be a new way of calculating damage,no offense, but a lvl 8 cranidos shouldnt be able to outspeed and OHKO a lvl 13 totodile.so i think it should depend on there level what the stats are.

and if tm shop=poke mart, would you be able to buy tms there

also im not sure about the areas, example:just get a fire type and level up in grass/bug areas till you are high leveled, then clean sweep the restof the game

I already mentioned stats instead of base stats. See point g)

Yes.

In response to the areas, think of the games. It is impossible to train a Blaziken in Viridian Forest because of the little xp earned. So in the new leveling system I could implement how much xp Pokemon give based on their levels.

Add two points to every stay for every level a pokemon gains, except HP, which gains 5 HP every 5 levels?

We do not want to go too overboard; I am pleased with the current list. Is there any last thoughts?

Sweet, that could work, I was thinking along those lines. Everything could go up 2 a level starting at base stats? Would definitely work.

Battle Tents. Like in Emerald. You could make your own conditions up. There would be prizes and stuff like that. items and such if you are going to introduce them anyway.

ok, I haven't really read this thread, but a good idea would be this...

a fixed set of available starters, maybe only the traditional starters...
No safari...
Wild Pokemon battling, 1 battle per day and pokeballs sold in the shop... weaker pokemons more comonn
Item shop, selling Pokeballs, lottery tickets and at some point evoloution items...
enchanced leveling system, Wild pokemons lvl devided by pokemons lvl equals the amount of lvl's/experience... (exp is like, 0.7 or 0.5)
5 tiers, one for the 1st and 2nd badges, the other for the 3nd and 4th, 5th and 6th, 7th and 8th and one for E4
Abselutely NO legend's
no shiny's
Freindly Co-op battles, faster than two seperate battles
lvl cap... no pokemons over lvl 15 until after first gym etc.
People are self responsible of updating their own team (mods can also edit their posts if they are cheating)

Besides the catching pokemon, there is not one part of that post that I liked, no offense.

also, im thinking... when the E4 is over and potential battle frontierl, shouldn't all members restart in season two? that way, they can sorta travel to different regions with different aspects and acheivements

Again, I dislike most of this post.
Little Joey has just beat the second Gym, and loves his team. Stan however, beasts the E4 the next day, and forces everyone, including Joey, to start over.
I think, when S2 starts, everyone picks three of their pokemon to store away and they can use at a point according to the pokemons' level.

sure, the three pokemons rule sounds ok...

but Little stan here has worked hard on his team and got all the way to the E4 and won, but now he has to wait for Joey the slacker to win 6 badges until Stan can start his journy again... Sad

Maybe Little April just got her starter and caught her first pokemon! Then someone just won the E4!

It should be the people that lose the E4 will start over

It should not. It should be neither your nor Green's ideas. Let's just let Weak sort that one out

Shinies should have no stat boosts and be like 1 in 500.

Once I have read over current changes will give more input.

Rivals are a must (there should be like 4-5 encounters though) maybe with the subquest we have an evil team enounters
(e.g team galactic).

No storyline just after badge 3,5 and 7 you have to challenge a bunch of grunts and a boss.

After the 7th badge evil team sub quest you can challenge a rng'd ace pokemon which you can catch (in place of a legend because they shouldn't be given out so easily) but you have to battle it first.
